Earlier this spring my wife and I purchased another home that we knew we could develop into our “Dream Home”. The sale moved rapidly and we were quickly deep into our renovation plans. My Short Sale Experience: I am a single mother of two children and have limited resources available to me and I accomplished the American Dream and purchased my very own home. I was elated until I started having difficulty keeping up with the mortgage when my rate adjusted. When my home went into foreclosure I tried multiple avenues to keep it. When the mortgage company would not work with me to create a successful solution, I used bankruptcy to keep the foreclosure at bay. After a couple of years, it became too difficult to keep up with the bankruptcy payments. I thought I would have to let the house go back to the bank. That's when Dela told me about Short Sales. She explained to me how, with the bank's permission, we could sell the house for less than my loan and still have the loan satisfied. There was no reason not to try, so we went to work right away. She helped me organize and spruce up my house to make it appealing to buyers. She even spent an afternoon helping me pull weeds! We soon had it ready to go on the market, and the inquiries started almost immediately. Dela called me each time someone wanted to look at the house to find the most convenient time for me and to give me time to straighten things up.
